This project was a 1974 Porsche 911 EV conversion. Our client came to us with an EV West conversion kit and contracted us with installing the kit and integrating the vehicles existing systems. We modified the kit for a precise fit and created custom wiring diagrams in the absence of provided drawings. Our team installed and tested the system for optimal functionality.
Powering this conversion is a Tesla Model S motor with 420 kW and 500+ ft-lbs of torque making the car quite fast! Equipped with a TC2 controller, the client can customize the car’s performance to match their driving style. The Battery Management System (BMS) monitors the battery pack’s health, offering real-time alerts for added peace of mind.
The DC-DC converter utilized in this build charges the 12V battery and powers all auxiliary systems. Recharging the battery pack is convenient with the integrated charger, compatible with a standard J1772 EV wall units.
